Update Maps On Magellan Maestro

The Magellan Maestro is a global positioning system designed for your vehicle. It gives detailed directions to your destination and even includes spoken, step-by-step instructions. Maps on the Magellan Maestro can be displayed in either two dimensions or three dimensions. Magellan's relationships with companies such as AAA allow users access to detailed travel information. Although Magellan Maestro comes with an extensive array of maps, there are times when things in the world change. Magellan offers easy updating of maps and sells a variety of map packages.

Instructions

1. Go the Magellan website. Click the Products menu and select "Maps and Software."

2. Click on the "Find maps by specific GPS model" link and choose your model from the scroll-down list.

3. Click on your model number and check map availability for your product.

4. Press the "Product" link and then click on the "Unit Compatiblity" tab. A list of compatible GPS units appears. If your unit name is on the compatible list, it is a product you can use.

5. Add the product to your cart by clicking on the "Add To Cart" tab.

6. Create a Magellan account by clicking on the "Create Your Profile" link and following all instructions.

7. Purchase your map upgrade. If you are buying a map upgrade on DVD, it will be mailed to you.

8. Download the Magellan Content Manager by clicking on the link to install Magellan Content Manager. This step is necessary if you are downloading your map upgrade instead of getting a DVD. Also, the Magellan Content Manager makes it easier to sign in and download software updates.
