Vigoro 3015v Water Timer Instructions

The Vigoro 3015V controls any sprinkler connected to the shared water hose.


The Vigoro 3015V irrigation timer connects to a wall faucet and standard water hose to water your lawn at set intervals. The timer features a digital interface, a low-battery indicator and an LCD sleep mode. The timer can be set to water every few hours or every few days using the arrow keys beside each field. The Vigoro also features an override button should you wish to manually water your lawn out of scheduled rotation. When setting up the sprinkler system, you might have questions about program the 3015V.


Instructions


1. Unscrew the screws on the back of the timer that hold the battery cover in place. Pry the cover off with the flat of the screwdriver. Install a 9-volt battery into the chamber, following the polarity directions printed inside the chamber. Replace the cover and the twist the screws back in.


2. Raise the upper coupling nut to the faucet opening and rotate the coupling clockwise to tighten it around the faucet. Raise the coupled end of a standard water hose to the bottom connector of the Vigoro and tighten the coupling around the opening.


3. Press the Left key beside the Current Time field to lower the number to the closest hour of the current time. Press the Right key to raise the number. Confirm that the AM and PM settings are correct.


4. Push the Left key beside the Start Time field to lower the number to the closest hour of the current time. Press the Right key to raise the hour. Confirm that the AM and PM indicators are correct.


5. Press the Right or Left arrow buttons to schedule the How Often field. The How Often field determines how frequently the timer activates the sprinkler in increments of hours or days. For example, if you select 6 Hours, the sprinkler waters the lawn four times a day, or every six hours. If you select 3 Days, the sprinkler is activated every three days.


6. Press the Right or Left arrow buttons to schedule the How Long field. The How Long field determines the duration of watering after the timer activates the sprinkler in minute or hour increments. For example, if you select 20 minutes, the sprinkler waters the lawn for 20 minutes every time it's activated.


7. Press the Program On/Off key to enable the Vigoro timer settings. A horizontal line will appear on the display to signal its activation. Press the Program On/Off button to disable the timer.


8. Press the Manual On/Off button to manually open the timer valve and override the schedule. Press the Manual On/Off button again to close the valve and reactivate the timer.
