The Curves pedometer is a small purple pedometer that has the Curves brand on it, which is a national fitness center for women. The pedometer can be purchased through the Avon company and tracks the amount of steps you take daily to help you ensure you're getting enough exercise. The pedometer tracks up to 10,000 steps, which is the amount or daily steps recommended by the U.S. surgeon general. If you need a pedometer with a higher step count, you will have to look for another brand.
Instructions
1. Set your pedometer daily. Set it to zero when you start a new day to get the accurate count of steps you've taken at the end of the day. There is a Reset button on the Curves pedometer that lets you take it back to zero.
2. Attach the pedometer to an article of your clothing. The Curves pedometer in lightweight and plastic and has a clip on it that is ideal for attaching the pedometer to the waistband of your pants.
3. Get walking. The pedometer automatically catalogs every step you take based on the movement of your body. It will accurately tally your steps whether you're walking slowly or running quickly.
4. Check your tally of steps periodically throughout the day to make sure you are making appropriate progress to reach you goal by nighttime.
5. Remove the pedometer at night when your daily activity is over and check the number of steps you're reached. Set the pedometer back to zero so it is ready for a new day.
