Reduce Large Pores On The Nose

Reduce Large Pores on the Nose

Large pores are unsightly and can be a breeding ground for bacteria to accumulate. Because larger pores are more difficult to clean, dirt and bacteria can get into the openings and germinate, producing acne and blackheads. The nose, in particular, has a tendency to develop larger pores, but there are steps you can take to reduce large pores on the nose.

Instructions

1. Clean your pores completely in order to reduce the size. They may already have accumulated buildup that has to come out before further action can be taken. Extractions and cleaning is best completed by a professional, so schedule a facial if possible.

2. Use a pore reducing facial wash to cleanse your face if you can't get a professional facial. Pay special attention to the nose, using your fingertips in a circular motion to wash the area as thoroughly as possible.

3. Open pores to do an initial cleaning. Put a large pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, turn off the heat and put the pot on a stable table. Lean over the pot with your face about 6 inches above the water, and put a towel over the back of your head to trap the steam coming from the pot. Allow the steam to flow over your face, being careful not to get too close to avoid burns. Steam for five minutes.

4. Attempt to remove the buildup in the pores immediately after your steam treatment by covering your fingers in tissue or plastic gloves and placing a finger on each side of the clogged pores and pressing gently. Use tissue to remove any buildup you are able to remove. Continue until you have removed as much as possible.

5. Wash your face again using a pore-reducing cleanser. Pay special attention to the nose, washing carefully. Rinse in warm water. Dry your face completely and then apply a pore reducing face mask. Make sure your hands and fingertips are clean before you apply the mask.

6. Allow the mask to dry completely, then remove by rinsing with warm water and a washcloth, and then washing again with the pore-reducing cleanser. Follow with a warm water rinse, then a cool water splash to close the pores.

7. Apply a toner, paying special attention to the nose, using a cotton swab. A pore-reducing or acne toner is the best type to use to reduce pores on the nose.

Tips Warnings

Exfoliate at least once a week with a gentle scrub.

Use the pore-reducing cleanser and toner daily. If it drys out your skin, use it only on the affected area, and use a gentle wash for all other facial areas.
