Listen To Free Satellite Radio In The Car

Listen to free satellite radio.

Satellite radio provides hundreds of commercial-free radio stations you can't find on standard radio. Although most services for satellite radio start at about $10 a month, you may want to test out the service before committing yourself. You can do so by taking advantage of the free trial offers the major satellite radio companies provide. With the free service, you can listen to the content in your car and decide whether the service is right for you.

Instructions

1. Purchase a satellite receiver. Although most electronics stores carry satellite receivers, you can find the products at most large discount department stores (such as Wal-Mart and Target).

2. Go to the website of the satellite company (Sirius or XM) whose receiver you purchased. Select the activation option, then chose a free trial period. Typically, this is a 30-day trial of all the programming the service offers.

3. Type in your phone number, address, email address, create a password (so you can access your account online) and then look onto the back of the satellite receiver. A code is printed on the back. Type this in and submit the order.

4. Place the satellite radio into your car and power it on. After your work order has been processed (it may take a few hours), you can begin listening to satellite radio for free until your trial period is over.
