Set Up A Sony Strde898

The 7.1 surround sound Sony STR-DE898 AV receiver supports Dolby Digital and DTS protocols to deliver a full surround sound experience. The system features 100 watts per channel, as well as standard definition and high definition inputs to connect all of your audio and video components. To set up the system, you will need to connect each speaker to its correct port and to your source devices.

Instructions

1. Connect a speaker cable to each of the seven speakers. Plug the white end of the cable into the positive terminal and the black end into the negative terminal.

2. Connect the opposite end of each speaker into the correct port on the back of the receiver. There is a port for the front right speaker, front left, center, right surround sound, left surround sound, right rear and left rear.

3. Position the speakers to best fit the size and layout of your room.

4. Connect the subwoofer to the receiver with the monaural audio cord.
