When you talk about "unlocking" your Samsung A707, you could be talking about either the phone lock or the SIM subsidy lock. You enable the phone lock to prevent anyone from accessing your phone to make calls or gain access to the content inside. Your mobile company enables the SIM subsidy lock to prevent other company's SIM cards from working with your phone. Both locks are removable if you have the correct unlock code.
Instructions
Phone Lock
1. Press any key to wake the A707's screen.
2. Enter the phone unlock code at the prompt.
3. Press the right soft key to click "Confirm."
SIM Subsidy Lock
4. Turn off the A707. Slide the back over off the phone. Slide the AT&T or Cingular SIM card out of the phone.
5. Slide in a SIM card from another company other than AT&T or Cingular. Replace the back cover and turn the A707 back on.
6. Enter the SIM unlock code when prompted. Press the right soft key to click "Confirm."
