Turn The Flash Off On A Blackberry Curve Camera

Turn the Flash Off on a BlackBerry Curve Camera

Three different flash modes-on, off and automatic-exist for BlackBerry Curve cameras. Changing the current setting requires little effort and should take less than 60 seconds to carry out. The following procedure also applies to other styles of BlackBerry phones.

Instructions

1. Open the camera application from the BlackBerry home screen (be sure you are opening the camera, not the video camera). The screen should be displaying itself as a lens.

2. Push the "Menu" button on the keypad to open a list of camera commands. Locate, highlight and select "Options". The screen should display a new screen titled "Camera Options."

3. Find the "Default Flash Setting" option toward the top of the left-hand column and highlight the current flash setting (on, off or automatic) in the corresponding right-hand column. Press down on the trackball so all three flash options appear on a drop-down menu. Select your preferred camera flash mode.

4. Exit the Camera Options screen by pushing the "Back" button on the keypad (to the immediate right of the trackball). Be sure to select "Save" when prompted with a window titled "Changes made!" Your BlackBerry camera should now be set to take pictures in the chosen flash mode.
