Use Your Iphone Calendar

The design of the iPhone makes it an interesting tool for owners. You can turn from your iPod to your calendars with a swipe of your fingers on the iPhone. Once you learn to use the iPhone calendar, you can organize your busy schedule in one central organizer.

Instructions

1. Open your iPhone calendar from the main menu with one touch. The Calendar tool looks like a page from a daily calendar with the day and date indicated in the icon.

2. Synchronize the calendar on your computer to your iPhone by activating the auto sync function. First connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cables included with purchase. It is important that you set auto sync on the iPhone and your online calendar to keep your schedule straight.

3. Coordinate repeat events hourly, daily or monthly with your iPhone calendar. Once you add event information to the iPhone, use an entry multiple times throughout your calendar by using the "Add" button.

4. Set the start and end times for events on your iPhone calendar to keep your schedule updated. After you enter the title of each event, you are automatically taken to a start and end time field in the calendar that you can change by scrolling through time options.

5. Format the way you view your calendar after you have entered daily events. The Day and Month format features allow you to compare your work load using a traditional calendar. You also can use the List format, which displays everything you have to do during the day in a chronological list.

6. Keep your iPhone calendar current as you travel across time zones using Apple's Time Zone Support. This function is available in the phone's "Settings" menu under the Date and Time option. You can manually adjust the time zone during your travels or set auto adjustments to avoid missed meetings and calls.

7. Alert yourself to upcoming events by setting an alarm through the calendar. You can activate an audio alert minutes, hours or days ahead of an event to keep you on schedule. Make sure that the phone's volume is loud enough as you set an alert.
