Upgrade To A Dish Network Slingbox Dvr

Use the ViP 922 SlingLoaded DVR to watch shows on your computer.

Upgrading to Dish Network's new ViP 922 SlingLoaded DVR can be done with a simple phone call. As long as you have an HD TV, a proper broadband Internet connection and a wireless router, you can replace your current receiver with the latest piece of Dish technology. This new receiver will allow you to watch HD TV on one television in your home and watch live or recorded television on a PC, laptop, SlingPlayer or other mobile device.

Instructions

1. Review the technical specifications that are required to watch Dish on a SlingPlayer, mobile device, PC or laptop as described above. If you do not meet these requirements, then you won't be able to upgrade to the ViP 922 SlingLoaded DVR.

2. Call Dish Network at 800-344-DISH (3474). In order to upgrade to this new equipment, you will be required to provide a credit card to qualify for any available promotion. If you choose not to provide a credit card, you will be advised of the full purchase price of the receiver. With the upgrade promotions available from Dish as of September 2010, the upfront cost to lease this receiver ranges from $200 to $400, depending on the status of your account.

3. Schedule an appointment to have a Dish Network technician install your equipment. The installer will be able to connect your broadband to the receiver, install a high definition dish (if not already installed), and help you understand view your DVR and live content via PC, laptop, mobile device or SlingPlayer device.
