Troubleshoot A Luxman T117 Tuner

The Luxman T-117 is a digital radio tuner that you can connect to your home entertainment system to allow you to listen to your favorite radio stations from you home. The Luxman T-117 will need to be connected to an amplifier and speaker system to work properly. If your tuner is not working properly, troubleshooting the device can help you determine the cause of the problem yourself and avoid calling costly repair services to your home.

Instructions

1. Check the power cord of the tuner if it is not turning on when you press the "Power" button. If the cord is plugged in properly, check the connection to the device. If it is loose, adjust it accordingly. If this does not fix the issue, you may need to have the device professionally repaired.

2. Check the wires to the antenna if you can turn on the tuner but are not getting any sound. If the antenna cable is unplugged from either the tuner or the antenna, reconnect it and try again. If this still does not solve the issue, you may have a bad antenna wire that needs replacing.

3. Set the tuning switch on the back of the tuner to the "25 kHz" position if you are not picking up certain stations on your tuner. Some stations broadcast at a different frequency, so you will need to set the tuner to pick up this frequency to pick them up.

4. Check the connections to your antenna if your AM or FM stations are coming in distorted or you can hear interference. If the connections are fine, move the antenna in a slow circular motion while listening to the radio. When you reach a location where the signal sounds better, leave it in this position.

5. Move the antenna to a different location or outdoors if you still cannot pick up a strong signal from the tuner. The higher the position of the antenna, the better. Note that you might have to turn the antenna in a different direction for each station you are trying to listen to.
