Connect A Cassette Player To A Pc

Cassette tapes no longer have the panache they once did, but there are still plenty of recordings made by people that they would like to listen to now and again. Converting a cassette to a digital format that can be played on home theaters and mobile devices requires first connecting a cassette player to the PC. Connecting a cassette player to a PC does not require any electronic knowledge, and only takes a few minutes to do.

Instructions

1. Place the cassette player next to the PC. Plug the cassette player into the wall socket for power.

2. Insert the red and white male RCA plugs of the RCA-to-mini-plug audio cable into the audio line output, and the red and white RCA female connectors on the back of the cassette player.

3. Insert the mini-plug of the RCA-to-mini-plug audio cable into the audio line input mini-plug female connector on the sound card of the PC. A cassette can next be transferred and turned into a digital file using audio copying software, now that the cassette player has been connected to the PC.
