Put Music Downloads On A Nextel I880 Phone

Use the i880's USB adapter to connect with your computer.

Keeping digital music on hand can come in handy for motivation during a workout or for quelling boredom during a period of waiting. Because the Sprint Nextel Motorola i880 cell phone supports music storage and playback, you can listen to your favorite songs at any time without having to carry extra hardware around. You only need to know the downloaded music's location on your hard drive to store it on your i880's internal memory through the handset's USB Mass Storage feature.

Instructions

1. Insert the Motorola i880's included memory card into the slot on the right side of the phone.

2. Select the "Settings" menu from the phone's main menu.

3. Select the "Memory Card" menu.

4. Select the "USB Connection" menu.

5. Select the "Reader Enabled" option.

6. Connect the i880 to your computer using its USB cable. The phone's device icon will appear in your computer's file manager.

7. Open the i880's device icon. Doing so reveals its root directory.

8. Create a "Music" folder if one does not already exist. Putting your music downloads into a subdirectory lightens the memory card's root directory workload.

9. Open the folder containing the downloaded music you wish to put onto the i880 in a separate file manager window.

10. Drag and drop the music file or folder icons into the memory card's music folder.
