Instruction Manual For My Vivitar 270pz

Capture moments with your compact Vivitar 270PZ.

The Vivitar 270PZ is a compact point and shoot camera which uses 35mm negative film. A zoom lens with a focal range of 35mm to 70mm allows you to shoot using a wide or close-up field of view. The camera features automatic light metering and setting adjustment, allowing you to focus on your subject while the camera worries about the details. Two different flash modes--red eye reduction for lit portraits and fill flash for backlit scenes--are also available.

Instructions

1. Slide the battery cover, located on the right underside of the camera, open. Place a three volt lithium battery into the chamber and slide the cover shut.

2. Push down on the door latch, located on the left side of the camera back and let it swing open.

3. Place a 35mm film cartridge into the slot and pull the leader, or the piece of film protruding from the cartridge, across the open camera. Align it with the film guide illustration near the take-up spool and close the door.

4. Move the main power switch, located on the top right of the camera, to the "ON" position.

5. Engage flash photography using the button on the top left of the camera.

6. Focus on your subject by centering with the viewfinder and depressing the shutter button halfway. Hold the shutter button halfway down to keep your subject in sharp focus and recompose the shot if desired. This also measures the amount of available light and automatically activates flash if necessary for proper exposure.

7. Press the shutter button to take the picture.

8. Remove a finished roll of film by opening the camera back and lifting out the cartridge. The camera's motor rewinds the film automatically.
