Install Sirius Stiletto

The Sirius Stiletto is a portable Sirius Satellite Radio receiver and MP3 player. The antenna that receives the Sirius signal is in the headphones. The receiver has 2 GB of internal memory to store recorded programming and personal MP3 files and will record up to 100 hours of Sirius programming. It has 802.11b wireless built-in, so it will connect to a home or office wireless network to access Sirius Internet Radio. The Stiletto weighs 4.6 oz with the slim battery and 5.6 oz with the standard battery.


Instructions








1. Slide the battery into the back of the Stiletto to engage the clips. Press the battery down. The release latch will lock the battery. Attach the AC Power adapter to the bottom of the Stiletto and charge the battery.


2. Push the "Power/Lock" switch on the right side of the Stiletto down, and then release it. The Stiletto will turn on.








3. Connect the antenna headphones to the docking connector on the bottom of the Stiletto. Go outdoors to a location with an unobstructed view of the sky. Turn the Media Dial on the front of the Stiletto with your finger until "Settings" is highlighted in the display. Press the "Select" button. Scroll to "Device" and press "Select." Scroll to "Antenna Aiming" and press "Select." The signal strength of the satellite signal and any terrestrial repeaters in range will display. One of the signals should be 50 percent or more reliable use of the Stiletto.


4. Turn the Media Dial to highlight "Satellite Radio" in the display. Press "Select." Scroll to "All Channels" and press "Select." Scroll to Channel 184, the Sirius Weather and Emergency channel. All channels will update and the display will give you the number to call to subscribe to Sirius Satellite Radio. Tune the radio to Channel 0 to display your 12-digit device ID number. Call Sirius and activate your radio.


5. Insert the "My Sirius Studio" CD in your CD drive. The installation program will automatically start. Follow the prompts to install the software. The installation will automatically put a shortcut in your Start Menu.


6. Connect the included USB cable to the jack on the bottom of the Stiletto. Connect the other end to an open USB port on your computer. Windows recognizes the Stiletto as a portable music device and prompts you to choose an application to manage your music. Highlight "Manage Music on a Sirius Enabled Device." Click "OK." The "My Sirius Studio" software opens and connects to the Stiletto.


7. Click "File." Click "Import Track" to import individual songs to "My Sirius Studio." Highlight the file you wish to transfer and click "Open." Hold the "Ctrl" key to highlight multiple songs. Click "Import Directory" to import all of the songs in a directory to "My Sirius Studio." Highlight the folder and click "Open." The files remain in their original location, but can be copied to the Stiletto.


8. Click the "My PC" icon and select the files you want to transfer to the Stiletto. Drag the files to the picture of the Stiletto on the right. The files are copied to the Stiletto.


9. Turn the Media Dial on the Stiletto, highlight "Library" and press "Select." Highlight a song and press "Select." Press the "Play/Pause" button to play the song.
