Use A Flip Video Recorder

Use a Flip Video Recorder

Flip video cameras are fun and easy to use. The Flip is an easy-to-transport, lightweight alternative to more traditional video camcorders. It works with very few steps, and you do not have to be technologically savvy in order to use one. The Flip also allows you to watch your videos on TV, as well as your computer. You do need a computer to use the Flip as this is how the camera is charged. A computer is needed to use the Flip software for editing and saving your videos as well.

Instructions

Using the Flip Video Camera

1. Turn on your Flip video camera by pushing the button on the left-hand side of the camera (when the lens is facing you) down. This action turns on the camera.

2. Aim your Flip at what you would like to record and press the red button located under the video screen on the back on the camera.

3. Film the event you would like to film. See what is being recorded by looking at the screen on the back of the camera.

4. Push the red button to stop recording when you are finished.

5. Watch your video by pressing the play button located on the left side of the red button (has an arrow similar to other video recorders and players such as your DVD player).

6. Scroll through your recorded videos by pressing the left and right arrow keys located on the box around your red button. This box also has a plus and minus symbol on it. Press the plus symbol to zoom in on the event you are recording. Press the minus symbol to zoom out.

7. Plug your Flip video camera into the USB port on your computer. This will allow you to download your videos to your computer.
