Dispose Of Rechargeable Batteries

Properly disposing of rechargeable batteries helps reduce pollution in landfills.

Rechargeable batteries come with instructions on use them, but few include directions on properly dispose of them. Properly disposing of a rechargeable battery is not as easy as just throwing it in the trash. Batteries that are thrown in the trash can wind up polluting landfills with heavy metals, such as mercury and cadmium. Properly disposing of rechargeable batteries isn't hard as long as you know the right places to go.
