SkyCaddie, made by Sky Golf, is one of the industry leaders in providing global positioning technology (GPS) to golfers around the world. Through Sky Golf's handheld devices (the SkyCaddie), players can have accurate distances for their shots, plus accurate information about a course's greens, at the touch of a button.
Products
SkyCaddie offers six different models. Its top of the line model is the SG5, which has 20-course storage capacity, instant distances for up to 40 targets each hole and SkyCaddie's patented IntelliGreen technology. The SG4 offers 10-course capacity and the ability to know how far you hit every shot. The SG3.5 has 20-course capacity and is marketed for golfers that travel often, as it uses three AAA batteries. The SG3 works on two AA batteries and has a 10-course storage capacity. The SG2.5 and 2.5 are ultra-light and compact, but provide basic information.
Courses
SkyCaddie offers users course information for 23,000 golf courses worldwide. This information can be downloaded to their SkyCaddie through the company's CaddieSync technology, which is a free download. The course information, however, costs extra and requires a membership. SkyCaddie employs course mappers to walk courses and provide detailed information on yardages and greens.
Membership
Once SkyCaddie users have set up an account, they can choose from five different membership options. The Birdie plan allows users access to information for courses in their home state. The Eagle plan allows users access to information on courses in their home country. The Double-Eagle plan gives users access to SkyCaddie's worldwide course library. "Play 36" is the Double Eagle plan, but for three years, which SkyCaddie claims saves the player $50 over three years. Finally, players can simply register and then use their SkyCaddie to map their home courses themselves.
Other Products
SkyCaddie offers accessory bundles for its SG2.5 and SG5 models. These bundles feature temporary cart mounts, car chargers, carry cases and screen guards. Users can also purchase a belt clip for their SG SkyCaddie separately.

SkyCaddie offers plenty of online support through their site, including instructions on download CaddieSync software, registering a SkyCaddie, searching courses, managing favorite courses and downloading courses for use. Additionally, PDF versions of all of SkyCaddie's six models can be found on the Web site.
