Improve Iphone Reception At Home

Depending on the location of your home, you may not be getting the best reception for your iPhone. There are many ways to improve the reception of your iPhone. Some ways are as simple as changing the way you hold the phone to your ear. Improve your reception and you will reduce the amount of dropped phone calls and late text messages.

Instructions

1. Hold your iPhone without covering the antenna portion of the phone. This is the small black area on the back of the iPhone. Simply moving your hand to uncover this area can improve your cell phone reception.

2. Turn off the iPhone Wi-Fi connection when you do not need it. This can improve the iPhone's reception by up to two bars and increase battery life.

3. Find out which areas in your home receive the best signal and make your phone calls from there. These areas can include exterior rooms and rooms on the upper floors of your home.

4. Turn off the iPhone 3G feature. Your phone will now operate in 2G mode. Not all cellphone towers have 3G access. By turning off 3G, your iPhone will connect to regular 2G cell phone towers.

5. Go to the "Settings" file on your iPhone.

6. Click the "General" tab.

7. Click the "Network" tab.

8. Change the "Enable 3G" option to "Off".

Your iPhone will connect with more towers, which in turn will mean more reception in your home. Also, this will increase the battery life of your iPhone.
