Repair The Etrex Legend Screen

The Garmin eTrex Legend is a portable GPS device designed to assist users with a full base map of North and South America, as well as the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. The eTrex Legend displays helpful travel information on its screen, such as the user's current heading and elevation and the local time and temperature. If the screen of the GPS has become damaged or no longer functions, it can be repaired by sending it to Garmin's Technical Support department. Devices within their one-year warranty period are repaired for free.

Instructions

1. Call or send an email to Garmin's Technical Support department. The company may be called at 1-800-800-1020. An email may be sent by visiting Garmin's website (see Resources). In the call or email, notify the technician of the problem with the device's screen.

2. Write down the return material authorization (RMA) number and the dock number that the technician gives you. These numbers are required when sending the GPS to Garmin.

3. Arrange for a method of payment if your device is no longer covered by the one-year warranty.

4. Ship the device as insured mail to Garmin International, 1200 E. 151st Street. On the second and third lines, include the RMA and dock numbers. On the final line, write Olathe, KS 66062.
