A VHS adapter converts smaller format tapes for use in a full-size VCR.
VHS cassette adapters hold smaller format video cassettes, such as VHS-C, inside the housing for a standard-size VHS cassette. This enables the smaller size format to be played back on a regular VCR without any need to connect a VHS-C camcorder to a television. This makes the adapter handy for presentations since there is no need to travel with a bulky camcorder and cables. Just pack the adapter and the tapes; any VCR can be used for playback.
Instructions
1. Slide the cassette compartment door on the top of the adapter in the direction of the arrow to open the compartment.
2. Insert the VHS-C cassette tape at an angle into the adapter, with the leading edge of the cassette placed first into the adapter, then press the tape down to snap it into position.
3. Slide the tape compartment door closed until it clicks in place.
4. Turn over the adapter and remove the battery cover by pressing down lightly and sliding off the cover in the direction of the arrow.
5. Insert a AA battery with the small bump on one end of the battery installed in the compartment on the positive (+) terminal. Replace the battery cover.
