The HTC Evo 4G smartphone from Sprint uses a touchscreen to provide access to applications, contacts and media on your device, and stores your contacts in the People application for contact management. The People application stores data from your synchronized Google, Exchange and Facebook accounts and your phonebook in one location for easier access to your contacts. If you happen to have multiple entries of the same contact, you can delete the contact directly from the People application without affecting the contact's information in the synchronized account.
Instructions
1. Push the "Home" button on the front of the Evo 4G, and press the "Up" arrow button. Tap "People" to access your contacts list.
2. Tap the contact's name, and press "Menu" on the phone. Tap "Delete" in the pop-up menu. For multiple entries, tap "All" in the People application and push "Menu" and "Delete." Tap the entries you want to remove, and tap "Delete" again.
3. Touch "OK" on the screen to confirm your wish to remove the contact from the People application.
