Use a NiMH charger for your NiMH battery.
Nickel metal hydride, or NiMH, batteries produce 1.2 volts and are used to power electrical devices, such as cameras and hand-held games. They are the same size as standard AA alkaline batteries. Additionally, multiple NiMH batteries wired in a series are used in battery packs to power cordless tools. NiMH batteries are rechargeable. While they initially cost more than AA batteries, they save you money over time, since you won't have to keep buying new batteries.
Instructions
1. Get a NiMH battery charger from an electrical outlet, if you don't already have one. They are widely available and can charge several NiMH batteries at the same time.
2. Open the NiMH battery charger cover. It either unclips or slides open, depending on the type.
3. Check which way to insert the NiMH batteries into the charger. The battery compartment is labeled, indicating the way the batteries need to be inserted. It says "+" on one end, and "-" on the other.
4. Look on the NiMH battery to identify the positive and negative terminals. The battery is clearly labeled the same way as the label in the battery compartment: "+" and "-."
5. Push the battery into the compartment using your fingers until it clicks in place. Close the battery charger cover.
6. Turn on the charger. A light illuminates indicating the NiMH battery is charging. Leave it on charge until the light goes out. Turn off the battery charger.
