Upload Photos To Pc From A Memory Stick

Memory sticks are small, compact devices varying in memory sizes. Because photos are media files, too many of them consume volumes of hard disk space and memory. Fortunately, memory sticks allow you to back up and store your favorite memories so that you cannot only free up system resources, but also have copies of your photos if your computer crashes.

Instructions

1. Plug your memory stick into a USB port on your computer. Check for USB ports on the back, front or side of your computer.

2. Launch Windows Explorer by double-clicking My Computer or Computer on the desktop. Your memory stick is listed as a portable hard disk in the Drives section. Your PC also assigns the memory stick a drive letter, generally E or D, depending on the number of drives connected to your computer.

3. Double-click your memory stick's portable hard disk. A new window launches. Drag photos from your computer to the memory stick's window. The files are uploaded to your portable storage device. When the process completes, close the windows that you opened and right-click the Safely remove hardware icon located on the system tray.
