Plug In A Cyber Acoustics Headset To A Computer

Cyber Acoustics has a wide range of products for use with your home computer. Of these products, headsets are among the most common. When you purchase a Cyber Acoustics headset with a boom microphone you may wonder if there are any special steps required for setup or if any special software is needed. After reading this article you can easily connect your headset and adjust your Windows settings to incorporate it.

Instructions

1. Locate the two connector ends of the headset. One connector should have a green plastic casing and the other a pink one.

2. Locate the corresponding jacks on the back of your computer. There may be a second jack for each connection located on the front. Normally, these jacks will be the same color but in some cases you will need to locate a jack labled "Mic" and a jack labeled "Line Out."

3. Connect the connectors to the appropriate jacks. If your computer is not color coded, the pink connector is for the microphone and the green is for the audio output from the computer.

4. Adjust the volume on the headset. Cyber Acoustics provide an adjustment knob on the headset wire that also contains a mute feature.

5. Open the sound options on the computer by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the Windows tray and selecting "Open Volume Control." Uncheck the mute box on the "Input Monitor" channel. Raise or lower this volume level to your desired specifications by clicking and dragging the volume slider.
