Digital Photo Troubleshooting

Digital Photo Troubleshooting

Taking digital photos makes it easy and affordable to snap, upload, edit and share all the pictures you desire--even if you are not a professional photographer. However, it can be frustrating when an otherwise perfect shot contains one blurry subject or a collection of glowing red eyes. If your digital pics are not looking the way you intend them to, perform some troubleshooting steps to learn how you can improve your photography skills.

Instructions

1. Change the shutter speed. If your digital photos tend to be blurry, the shutter speed may be set too low. Check the owner's manual to learn make the shutter speed faster.

2. Stand still. Digital cameras are typically quite small, making it difficult to hold them steady and causing blurry or unfocused pictures.

3. Select a higher resolution on the camera if your pictures tend to look pixelated. Many digital cameras have a "JPEG Fine" setting that will raise the resolution properly and remove graininess from photos.

4. Shoot from various angles if taking photos through a window or other glass if many photos contain glares. The digital camera flash, the sun and lamplight can reflect off glass and cause a glare that can ruin the best shot.

5. Practice. Keeping a steady hand when shooting a photo, standing in the right light and other steps that will help you take the best pictures can be mastered over time.
