Fixing an HP Officejet Pro L7500


The many moving parts inside your printer aren't infallible and may occasionally experiences problems such as paper jams or incorrectly seated ink cartridges. On top of hardware issues, your HP Officejet Pro L7500 series printer may not have the correct software driver installed, or the driver may be conflicting with other software. If you are having trouble getting your Officejet Pro to work, there are troubleshooting options available to get the device printing again.


Instructions


1. Hold the HP printer's power button until the device turns off. Unplug both the power cable and the USB cable from the back of the printer. Turn the printer around so the back side is visible.


2. Press in the plastic buttons on either side of the access door positioned at the bottom of the printer. Pull the door down so the inside of the printer is accessible. Reach inside the printer and pull out any jammed paper.








3. Lift the access door and push it back into position. Reconnect the power cable and USB cable and turn the printer around so the front side is visible. Press the power button. Grab the exposed edge of the control panel and lift the top half of the HP printer up until it locks into place.








4. Pull out any paper jammed inside the printer. Unlock the two ink cartridges from the ink carriage at the left side of the printer by lifting up the plastic covers. Pull the cartridges out and set them back in place to ensure they are seated correctly. Push down the covers and close the top half of the printer.


5. Check inside the paper feed tray at the bottom of the printer to see if any paper is jammed inside. Pull out any jammed paper. Tap the "Setup" button on the control panel.


6. Scroll to "Tools" and press "OK." Select the "Align Printer" option and tap "OK" to perform a printer alignment. Navigate your computer's Web browser to the HP driver download page for the Officejet Pro L7500 series.


7. Click the link for your specific model in the L7500 line. Choose your computer's operating system from the list of available operating systems. Click the "download" link next to the most recent driver file available.


8. Open the Officejet Pro driver installation file and select the "Next" button. Click "Next" again and choose "Finish" to install the updated driver. Restart your computer's operating system.
