Finalize A Mini Dvd On A Pc

Mini DVDs are similar in function to regular DVDs. The differences exist only in size and memory capacity. While most mini DVDs are about three inches in size and store a little more than 2.5 GB per side, the burning process is the same as a regular DVD. Mini DVD burning is an easy process, although several steps are involved, including finalizing the disc, which is not a difficult task.

Instructions

1. Insert the mini DVD into the DVD tray drive on your PC, and open your DVD burning software. While most DVD burners come with varying burning programs, most function in the same manner. If you do not have a DVD burning program, try downloading a shareware version (see Resources for link to a list).

2. Use the "File" drop-down menu to select the type of DVD you want to burn. For example, click once on "File," once on "New Project," once on "Data and Backup," and then finally on "Data Disc."

3. Click once on the "Add Data" button and select the "Add Files" option. Use the "Look In" drop-down box to select a folder from which you want to add files to the mini DVD. Click once on a file and then once on the "Add" button. You can select a group of files by clicking once on the first file in the group and once on the last file while holding down the "Shift" key. To select several individual files within a folder, but not in a group, click once on each file while holding down the "Control" (Ctrl) key.

4. Click once on the "Burn" button after you have added all of the files that you want to burn to the mini DVD. This will begin the burning process, which could take a few minutes depending on the speed of your PC.

5. Click once on the "Finalize" button on the pop up window upon completion of the burning process. Some DVD burning programs use the term "Done" interchangeably with "Finalize." Either way, clicking on the button will finalize the burning of the mini DVD.
