Garmin GPS devices are capable of providing several different features, such as turn-by-turn destinations to almost anywhere in the country, and providing points of interest such as hotels, hospitals, gas stations and restaurants. In addition, most Garmin GPS devices are also capable of playing MP3 files that have been stored on a SecureDigital (SD) card on the built-in speaker.
Instructions
1. Insert the SD card into the card reader to have the computer recognize the drive.
2. Open "My Computer" and then open the drive for your SD card.
3. Open the folder containing the files you want to store on the Garmin unit.
4. Drag the MP3 files into the SD card folder. Eject the card once you have finished adding songs.
5. Insert the SD card into the Garmin device and turn it on.
6. Touch "Tools" or "Settings" and then touch "Media Player."
7. Touch "Source" to open the MP3 directory, then click "Browse." To play all the music, touch "Play All."
