Install & Replace An Nec Lt60lpk Projector Bulb

The LT60LPK projector bulb is used with NEC projector models LT220, LT240 and LT260. This lamp has a normal lifespan of about 1,500 hours, but it may last 2,000 hours if used in "Eco Mode." NEC recommends replacing the bulb at 1,500 hours, even if it is working. Once the lamp indicator reaches 1,600 hours, the projector will not operate; the system automatically shuts down until the projector bulb is replaced.

Instructions

1. Turn off the projector power switch, wait approximately 90 seconds, and then turn off the main power switch. Unplug the power cable. Leave the projector alone for at least one hour. This allows the bulb to cool down.

2. Loosen the bulb-cover screw until it spins freely. The screw does not come out. Pull the bulb cover off.

3. Loosen the two screws behind the bulb-cover. These screws do not come out either. They hold the bulb assembly in place. Pull the bulb assembly straight out by its handle.

4. Insert the LT60LPK bulb assembly into its place. Tighten the assembly's screws. Position the bulb cover back in place. Tighten its screw.

5. Plug in the projector's power cable. Turn the system on. Select "Projector Options" from the main menu, and then select "Setup."

6. Scroll to "Page 4" in the "Setup" menu. Select "Clear Lamp Hour Meter" to reset the lamp-hour indicator. The projector will not operate otherwise.
