Put A Police Frequency In A Bct8 Radio Scanner

The Uniden Bearcat BCT8 scanner holds pre-programmed frequencies for most states. For police frequencies, it offers a multi-band communication system that connects to special transmitters held in most highway patrol vehicles. It also offers a system for scanning all groups within a trunked system, receiving all NOAA weather channels and searching up to 13 different frequency ranges. You can also program specific frequencies into the Uniden Bearcat BCT8's private bank, including police frequencies that you receive from additional sources such as the Internet or personal sources.

Instructions

Programming Frequencies

1. Press the "PVT" button until the display shows PVT to activate private bank scanning.

4. Enter the frequency number using the keypad and the decimal button.
