SD stands for "Secure Digital" that is a technology for a popular family of memory cards widely used in digital cameras, cell phones and MP3 players. A microSD card that has the dimensions of 11 by 15 mm is the smallest storage device in the SD memory card family. A microSD card with a large capacity of 8GB allows you not only to store a vast collection of pictures, music or video clips, but also to save regular user files and transfer them between computers. Use a USB card reader to instantly read a microSD card on your computer.
Instructions
1. Purchase an external USB card reader from any Internet or local electronics store.
2. Plug the card reader into a computer's USB port.
Insert the USB cable of the card reader into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Insert the microSD card into the slot of the card reader marked as "microSD."
4. Click the "Start" button in Windows and then click "Computer" (Windows Vista/7) or "My Computer (Windows XP); it opens Windows Explorer.
5. Locate a disc drive icon that corresponds to the microSD card in Windows Explorer.
6. Double-click on the microSD card icon to read the list files/folders saved on the card.
