Fix Blurry Digital Photos
Blurry digital photos are one of the most common problems when taking pictures. There are several different reasons that blurry photos occur. The most common reasons are motion of the camera due to the user's hands shaking, the failure of the camera to focus correctly or slow shutter speeds. Blurred pictures can often be prevented if you use a tripod and allow the camera to lock in the image before pressing the shutter button. If you do take a photo that is out of focus, image-editing software can help sharpen your images and eliminate some of the blurriness.
Instructions
1. Choose the image that you wish to edit and open it in an image editing software program such as Photoshop, Paintshop Pro or Photoscape. Each of these programs sharpen images in the same way.
2. Perform all of your image adjustments before you sharpen the image. Crop the image and focus on your subject. Adjust the color, lighting, eliminate red eye and make all of the other desired changes to your photograph before you sharpen the image. You may not have to use the sharpen tool as much after you have enhanced the colors because this will also help sharpen the image.
3. Choose the Sharpen menu from the drop down filter list. Click on "Sharpen" and automatically your image will sharpen just a bit and the menu will close.
4. Go down the filter menu and choose "Sharpen Edges." This feature will allow you a bit more control on editing the image. Hold down your left mouse button and go over the areas of the image that you wish to sharpen. Some image-editing software will have a text box or a slider that allows you to choose how much you wish to sharpen the images. You can also undo the action if you have sharpened the image too much.
5. Continue using the editing tools until your image is as sharp as you wish. Be careful not to overuse any of the sharpen tools or your image will begin to look grainy.
