Wire A 5pole Lavalier Microphone

Lavalier microphones are small electret microphones commonly used in theater and television. They customarily have the ability to clip on to a person's collar or belt and usually have cords that are easily hidden by clothing. These cords lead to the microphone's radio frequency transmitter, which can be clipped to a belt or fit into a pocket. Five-pole Lavalier microphones have 5-pin male connection ports that are designed to connect with a 5-pin female connection cord that leads to the transmitter.

Instructions

1. Press or flip the "Power" switch on the radio receiver to the "Off" position.

2. Plug the female-end 5-pin cord into the 5-pin male port on the bottom of the Lavalier microphone.

3. Plug the other end of the 5-pin female end of the microphone cord into the "MIC" port on the radio receiver.

4. Press or flip the "Power" switch on the radio receiver to the "On" position to test the microphone for proper operation.
