Sign Into Xbox Messenger

As a Microsoft device, when hooked up to the Internet via an Ethernet cord or Wi-Fi, Xbox users can sign into Windows Live via Xbox. Windows Live Messenger allows you to communicate with other users as well as friends who are not on Xbox Live. With a free account from Windows Live's website you can sign in and chat while you play games on Xbox Live.

Instructions

1. Hit the "Guide" button in the center of the Xbox control (the gray circle that lights up green when held down) to launch the menu options.

2. Choose "Chat and IM" and hit right on the joystick to access messaging. Choose the "Sign In" option.

3. Type in your username and password using the control. Move around the alphabet on the screen with the arrow keys on the pad and select the desired letter or number with the green "A" button. You can also purchase an attachable keyboard that hooks into the top of the Xbox control. This is used just like a keyboard on a cell phone. Once you type in your username and password, scroll down to sign in and hit the green button.
