Clean A Dvd/Cd Player

When your movies start to skip scenes, freeze or become pixelated, it may be an indication that the DVD/CD player needs a cleaning. As a weekly activity, cleaning your DVD/CD player with a cleaning disc helps maintain performance and optimum viewing and listening levels. Read on to learn clean a DVD/CD player.


Instructions


1. Purchase a DVD/CD player cleaning disc at any electronics store. The brand is not important just be sure to check that the disc is specifically for DVD players and not for game playing systems.


2. Take the cleaning disc out of the package and turn on the DVD/CD player.


3. Press the button that opens the disc player and place the cleaning disc inside. Use the arrow on the cleaning disc to ensure correct placement in the disc tray.


4. Let the disc play for about 20 seconds or until it automatically turns off. Press stop and eject if the disc does not do this automatically.








5. Test that the DVD/CD player is now clean by placing a regular DVD or CD into the player and press play. If the image still skips and freezes, repeat Steps 3 and 4.


6. Check to make sure that the DVD or CD you are using to test the player is not scratched. If not, you many need to repair your DVD/CD player.








7. Repeat Steps 2, 3, and 4 at least once a week to maintain a healthy DVD/CD player.
