Use Ez Flashes For Digital Cameras

EZ-Flash cards come in various sizes and memory capacities for use in digital cameras.

Digital cameras have removable memory cards that allow you to transfer files to your computer. EZ-Flashes are memory devices that can replace the original memory card in your digital camera and store photographs and videos. These devices come in different sizes, have various memory capacities and are compatible with several different cameras and computers. The EZ-Flash website features four products, and the cost for an EZ-Flash card is about $30 to $40.

Instructions

Formatting the Card and Inserting It Into the Camera

1. EZ-Flash drives come in several sizes, so you will need to check your camera's user manual to purchase a card that fits in your camera. Before you use the EZ-Flash, you will need to format it so that once you take the pictures they can be easily transferred to your computer.

The EZ-Flash is called a MircoSD/SDHC. Insert the MicroSD/SDHC into your computer, or if you cannot insert it, then place the EZ-Flash card into your digital camera, plug the USB cord into the camera and PC and wait until the device recognizes the card. If an imaging import software pops up, hit "Cancel."

Next double-click "My Computer" and then right-click your MicroSD drive and choose "Format." Next, under the "File System," select FAT or FAT16 for MicroSD or for MicroSDHC select FAT32. Then hit the "Start" button. The computer will begin formatting the disk.

2. Once the EZ-Flash has finished formatting, detach the USB cord from the camera and computer. Begin taking pictures with your camera, and those photos will be automatically saved on your EZ-Flash card.

3. When you are done taking pictures, plug the USB cord into the camera and the computer. The computer will detect the camera and automatically bring up its imaging import software.

4. The software will ask you what photos you want to upload to your computer. Select the images you wish to transfer. After those images are uploaded, you will be asked if you want to remove images from your EZ-Flash card. By deleting the photos that have been uploaded, you can clear memory in your card.
