Troubleshoot A Philips Weather Clock Radio

The Phillips weather clock radio is a standard clock radio that has a built-in weather display for current indoor and outdoor temperatures. The clock radio also has a hygrometer that displays indoor humidity. When the clock radio starts to malfunction you will need to find and then fix the problem. This can be done by checking various settings and making any necessary adjustments.








Instructions


Alarm Not Functioning


1. Verify that the alarm has been properly set on the clock radio. Make sure that AM or PM has been set for the time of day.


2. Verify that you have set the alarm mode for the clock radio. If the mode indicator is not set to "Alarm" the alarm will not go off.


3. Turn up the volume of the clock radio to make sure that the alarm is loud enough to be heard.


Weak or No Signal from Sensor








4. Press the "Reset" button that is located on the back of the sensor. Press the "Reset" button on the clock radio that is located in the battery compartment. The clock radio should begin to receive a signal from the sensor.


5. Move the switch for the channel on the sensor to channel 3 or channel 4. The switch is located in the sensor's battery compartment. Repeat step 1 to reset the connection.


6. Move the sensor closer to the clock radio to increase the strength of the signal.
