Edit Videos With A Canon Fs300

Clear space on your Canon FS300's memory card by editing videos.

Canon introduced the FS300 camcorder in 2010. It was a continuation of the popular FS2 line of amateur camcorders. Though the camera is marketed toward novice users, the high-quality DIGIC DVII processor is capable of producing results that would please any professional. The camera records to a flash storage card, meaning that each video clip you record appears as an individual file in the playback menu. This makes the editing or deletion of unwanted footage quick and simple.

Instructions

1. Flip out the LCD view screen, which is hinged to the left side of the camera body. Push the power switch located at the top of the camera body toward the "ON" position.

2. Press the "Playback" button located in the bottom-right corner of the LCD screen panel to access your recorded video clips. You will see the thumbnail previews of the clips in a gridded-viewing menu.

3. Toggle through the video clips using the directional joystick and highlight the clip you wish to delete.

4. Press the "Func." button in the left corner of the LCD screen panel. Toggle to the "Delete" option and select it.

5. Select whether you want to delete all recorded clips, all the clips you recorded today or just the clip you've selected. Press "OK" to confirm your choice and delete the clip(s).
