Hook Up Delphi Skyfi Xm Radio To Yamaha Htr5940

The Delphi Skyfi XM is a satellite radio receiver that can be connected to a full-sized stereo system, such as the Yamaha HTR-5940, with a home installation kit. The palm-sized XM unit fits into a stand with connection jacks on the back for attaching a powered antenna and stereo cables to the Yamaha. The stand and antenna can remain connected to the Yamaha, leaving the XM unit portable for travel.

Instructions

1. Connect the black miniconnector on the supplied audio cable to the "LINE OUT" jack on the back of the Skyfi home stand.

2. Insert the white and red plugs on the other end into an unused set of left and right audio inputs on the back of the Yamaha receiver, such as the auxiliary jacks.

3. Connect the plug on the end of the antenna cable to the "ANT IN" jack on the back edge of the Skyfi home stand.

4. Plug the power adapter into the jack labeled "DC IN 6V" on the home stand and connect the other end to an electrical outlet.

5. Place the Skyfi XM radio unit on the stand, pushing straight down to connect.

6. Turn on the Yamaha receiver and set the source selector knob on the front to the name of the jacks connecting it to the Skyfi XM.
