Copy A Cassette On A Dual Deck Stereo

Dual deck stereos can copy cassettes using a single component.

Dual deck stereos are equipped with a cassette player and a separate recorder for copying tapes. The decks offer a convenient way to dub audio recordings to share or to make archival cassettes. Since the dual deck is built into the stereo as a single component, there are no wires to connect or special settings to adjust. Some dual decks even feature one-button dubbing for fast recording setup.

Instructions

1. Open the two cassette doors on the front of the dual deck by pressing the "Eject" button below each door.

2. Insert the pre-recorded cassette to be copied into the left-side cassette compartment and place a blank cassette with Side A facing forward into the right-side cassette compartment. Close both doors by pushing gently until each locks in position.

3. Press the "Record" and "Pause" buttons simultaneously on the right-side cassette deck.

4. Press the "Play" button on the left-side cassette deck.

5. Press and release the "Pause" button on the right-side deck to begin copying the cassette in the left-side deck.
