Yaesu Transceiver Specifications

An innovative producer of telecommunications equipment, Yaesu is the amateur division of Vertex Standard. It manufactures equipment for transmitting and receiving information over the high frequency (HF) band found between three to 30 hertz, the standard communication bandwidth used throughout the world today. Yaesu provides large and small commercial business owners, residential and amateur radio operators multiple high-powered affordable communication options in stationary and portable radio transceivers.

Stationary Transceivers

Yaesu creates field-to-office communications equipment for commercial business owners to build their in-house communications' networks. Yaesu provides five powerful stationary transceiver options.

Yaesu FT DX 5000 Series

The FT DX 5000 models offers operators three options in transceiver station monitors. Yaesu FT DX 5000, FT DX 5000D and FT DX 5000MP, HF 50-megahertz (MHz) transceivers come standard with 200-watts of output power and 300-hertz (Hz) sharp roofing filter options. The SM-5000 station monitor transceivers have a built-in power supply and come with two independent receiver radios. Additional radios are available for this network. Designed for multiple radio usage for large commercial businesses, the Yaesu FT DX 5000 Series transceivers easily handle heavy and continuous field communications.

Yaesu FT-2000D

The Yaesu FT-2000D series offers operators two, second-generation options in transceiver station monitors. Designed and engineered with 200-watts of output, the Yaesu FT-2000D transceiver provides a more powerful output than other models.

The Yaesu FT-2000D models come with three roofing filters in 16-kilohertz (kHz), 6-kHZ and 3-kHz bandwidths to enable communications during high traffic periods. A dual-receiver function allows operators to listen and transmit simultaneously. The Yaesu FT-2000-D Series transceivers well match the needs of small commercial business field communications.

Portable Transceivers

Yaesu provides residential and recreational radio operators with four compact portable transceivers, allowing explorers to stay safely connected with the outside world.

Yaesu FT-450

The Yaesu FT-450 is a compact and portable, but powerful HF 50-MHz radio and transceiver with 100-watts of output power. User-friendly, it offers a solid communication package for field technicians and tradesmen with small operations. The Yaesu FT-450 is also an affordable option for residential or home-use.

Yaesu FT-897D

The Yaesu FT-897D portable transceiver for amateur radio use offers multiple frequency bands, with 20-watts of output power and includes two battery packs for eight-hour use in the field. Engineered to use one battery while charging the other, the Yaesu FT-897D provides radio operators with continuous access.

Yaesu FT-817ND

The Yaesu FT-817ND is the ideal portable radio transceiver for camping and hiking with 5-watts of output power on all HF bandwidths. It covers high (HF), very high (VHF) and ultra high frequency (UHF) bands and comes with a self-contained battery. The Yaesu FT-817ND is compact and lightweight, the perfect size for a backpack.

Yaesu FT-857D

The Yaesu FT-857D is the world's smallest HF, VHF and UHF mobile radio and transceiver, providing operators with 5-watts of output power and 5-MHz band.
