Install Satellite Radio In Jeep Wranglers

Satellite radio offers expanded options for radio stations in your Jeep Wrangler. Normally, you would be limited to just the radio stations in your local broadcast area. However, with satellite radio, you can listen to hundreds of radio stations from anywhere in the country. Although these stations are typically themed and are not exactly like their standard AM/FM counterparts, they do give you more control over your radio and listening options in your Wrangler.

Instructions

1. Mount the satellite receiver somewhere in your Jeep. The particular location doesn't matter as much as whether or not it obstructs your view of the road while you're driving. You should locate it somewhere where it will not obstruct your view of the road.

2. Mount the satellite antenna. It's magnetic, so it will affix itself to any sheet metal on the outside of your Wrangler. The most common mounting location is in the rear or near the front near the windshield.

3. Run the satellite antenna to the receiver. Run it through the Jeep, depending on where you mounted it. If you mounted it in the rear, run the wires under the rubber molding on your Wrangler's window. If you mounted it in the front, you can just route the wires through the door and behind the rubber molding to protect the wiring from damage.

4. Plug in the satellite antenna wire to the receiver.

5. Plug in the receiver power adapter. The receiver should light up, and give you instructions for activating your satellite radio.
