Download Ringers Using The Usb Cord

People are proud of their ringtones. Often people let their cell phones ring away, playing loud songs for thirty seconds or more before they answer the calls. If you're tired of the ringers that came with your cell phone, you can use mp3 music files stored on your computer to replace them. With a USB data cable and cell phone synchronization software, you can move music from your computer to your cell phone in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

1. Purchase cell phone synchronization software from your cell phone manufacturer, an electronics store or on the Internet. Manufacturers and electronics stores often have synch software available with USB cables.

2. Install the software on your computer and start it up.

3. Connect the USB data cable to your cell phone and your computer and and turn the cell phone on. Allow the synchronization software to recognize your cell phone. With some synch programs, you may have to manually enter your cell phone information, however, the procedure won't take long to do. Once the cell phone is recognized, the files contained on it will appear on-screen in directories for music, photos and videos.

4. Use the synch software to open the folder on your computer that contains the music you want to transfer to your cell phone for use as a ringtone. Select the songs you want to move. You can normally select multiple copies.

5. Click on the "transfer" command (this may not necessarily be the exact command, but it will be something similar), or you may be able to drag the files you want to transfer to the appropriate folder on your cell phone.

6. Allow the transfer to finish. There will usually be a prompt to tell you that the transfer is complete. Disconnect the cell phone. Open the folder where you keep ringtones or music on your phone and confirm that the files are there.

7. Designate the files as ringtones.
