Use A Gps Car Tracking System

The more sophisticated GPS (Global Positioning System) car tracking systems provide more service than just car tracking. One example of a GPS car navigation system is Alpine's Mobile Mayday. An operator at the On-Guard Response Center can track the vehicle on a computer screen and provide a variety of services.

Instructions

1. Call the On-Guard Response Center if you discover that your car has been stolen. The Response Center will contact the police and inform them of the vehicle's location, speed and direction. If your car alarm has been interfaced with the system, the Mobile Mayday can be automatically tripped during a burglary attempt, and the On-Guard Response Center begins to track the car. The center notifies you that your car has been stolen.

2. Push the Communication button if you experience a mechanical problem. You will be in voice communication with the On-Guard Response Center.

3. Push the Panic button for about a second if you are in an accident or are a victim of a robbery or car jacking. The operator at the center can listen in on the situation in the car and can communicate with you if it is safe to do so. The operator will then alert the proper authorities and guide them to you.

4. Press the Communication button if you want directions to a destination. An operator at the On-Guard Response Center will direct you to where you want to go.

5. Call the On-Guard Response Center if you lock your keys in your car. The Center will send out a command to unlock the doors.

6. Call the On-Guard Response Center if you can't find your car in a crowded parking lot. The Center will send out a command that honks your car's horn.

7. Call the On-Guard Response Center if you want to locate your car when your child is driving it. The operator at the center will tell you the car's location.
