Moultrie Gamespy 100 Trail Camera Setup Instructions

Successful hunting often includes employing techniques other than shooting. Some hunters like to scout the behavioral patterns and movement of their game prior to making the hunt. A spy camera facilitates the scouting of nearby game, increasing the probability of hunting success. Moultrie produces several game spy cameras, including the M100 GameSpy digital camera. The camera automatically takes pictures of any animal that enters its range. You can set up the camera in just a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Locate the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera. Slide the "Unlock" switch on the compartment and pull the tray outwards. Install four AA batteries (or eight, depending on the M100 model) into the compartment. Follow the polarity signs as listed on the battery compartment to properly install the batteries. Replace the battery tray to secure the compartment.

2. Grab the provided mounting strap and the M100 digital camera. Thread the strap through the eyelets (located on the back of the camera). Press and hold the M100 against a tree or pole, and make sure the camera is 3 feet off the ground. Secure the camera by wrapping the mounting strap against the tree or pole and fastening the ends together. Make sure the strap is tight enough that the camera will not move or slip.

3. Locate the power switch that is on the top-right portion of the camera. Side the switch from its "OFF" position downward to the "ON" position. Once on, press the "Mode" button (underneath the power switch) once to access the "Camera Setup" menu.

4. Set the time and date on the camera using the navigational arrow buttons underneath the "Mode" button. Use the up/down arrow buttons to adjust the selected field, the left/right arrow buttons to move to the next field, and the "Enter" button to save the changes.

5. Press the "Mode" button several times until the "Menu Selection" screen is displayed. Highlight the "Main Screen" option using the up/down arrow buttons. Once its highlighted, press "Enter." The camera is now set up to take pictures once an animal passes by the camera's specific range.
