Clean Install A Nuvo Grand Concerto

NuVo Grand Concerto is a home audio sound system that allows you to have six different audio sources and up to eight listening zones. A clean installation of the system requires you to reinstall the wiring and speaker setup. The advantage of a clean install is that you'll have new wire connections for better audio quality and a clean, uncluttered interface. To begin a clean install, you'll need to remove all previous wiring and wipe down the console.

Instructions

1. Unplug the console and remove all connections from the back panel.

2. Take a dry cloth and wipe any dust and dirt from the console.

3. Prepare the new CAT5 cable by removing two- to three-inch portions from its end, exposing the wiring. Untwist the wires and fan them out.

4. Arrange the wires in this order: green stripe, green, orange stripe, blue, blue stripe, orange, brown stripe and brown.

5. Flatten down the wires, keeping them in the same order, and cut the ends off to even them out. The crimping tool should have a cutter built in for this purpose.

6. Insert the wires into the Rj45 connector, making sure each wire has its own slot. Push them in far enough so all wires touch the end of the connector.

7. Place the connector into the crimping tool and push down firmly to tighten the connection.

8. Repeat steps 3 through 8 for each end of every CAT5 cable you need. Each connection should be tested with a CAT5 tester before use.

9. Attach the CAT5 cables from the NuVo Grand Concerto back panel to the amplifier and other accessories.
