Apply Color Filters In Photoshop

Photoshop is a graphic editing program from Adobe that allows you to change and create your own digital images for use on your computer and on the Internet. The software allows you to alter the way your image looks through the use of color filters. These filters can change the style of an existing picture by adding brush strokes or textures. Filters can also add special effects to the image, such as lighting effects, lens flare or distortion.

Instructions

1. Launch Photoshop on your computer.

2. Click "File," then click "Open" to find the image you want to edit.

3. Double-click the file to open it in Photoshop.

4. Click "Filter" from the top menu. A list of filter categories will appear in a drop-down menu.

5. Click the name of a filter category, such as "Artistic," "Brush Strokes" or "Stylize," to view the names of filters associated with the category.

6. Click the name of the filter you would like to apply. A new window will display controls for that filter.

7. Edit the filter settings in the new window. This will be different for each filter, but usually includes moving sliders right or left to edit the filter's intensity and style. You will see a sample of how the changes will look displayed on the left side.

8. Click "OK" to commit the filter to your image.

9. Repeat the process with other filters you would like to use.

10. Click the "File" menu, then click "Save" to save the changes to the image.
