Use The Canon Powershot S1 Is Ultrasonic Digital Camera

Ensure that you take focused and beautiful photos by learning to use your Powershot S1 IS.


The Canon Powershot S1 IS offers users 3.2 megapixels with 3.2 digital zoom combined with a 10 times optical zoom. The Powershot S1 IS produces beautiful photos and offers a wide range of features. The camera records images onto a memory card, which is used to transfer the photos to a computer or printer. It's important to learn use the basic function of the Powershot to ensure that you take high-quality images.


Instructions


1. Install the Canon Powershot S1 IS batteries by sliding the battery lock in the direction of the arrow; the cover will pop open. Insert the batteries into the camera, following the printed orientation on the cover. Close the battery cover.


2. Slide the CF card slot cover in the direction of the printed arrow. Lift the cover open to access the CF cardholder. Insert the CF card with the label facing towards you. Push the card all the way into the slot until the ejection button fully extends. Close the CF card slot cover.


3. Turn the Powershot S1 IS on by pushing the power switch to the "Shooting" position; a small camera icon identifies the shooting mode. Set the mode dial to "Auto" or any other mode you'd like to use, as the shooting procedure is the same in every mode.


4. Open the LCD screen and aim at the subject. If the lighting is too bright for the LCD screen, look through the viewfinder and aim at the subject. Use the zoom to achieve the desired composition of the subject. The zoom is a small lever that moves left and right, located near the shutter button.


5. Lightly press the shutter button halfway down to autofocus the subject. Once the subject is focused, press the shutter button all the way down to record the image. You will hear the shutter sound once the image has been recorded; be sure not to move the camera until you hear this sound. Repeat these steps for all photographs.
