You don't have to be stuck with the ring sound on your fax machine.
If you own a fax machine, you may desire to change the sound of its ring. Perhaps you don't care for the current ring or are just in the mood for something new. Whatever your reasons, you have the option of changing your ring tone. If you own a Panasonic fax machine that is part of the KX-FP80 series, which includes a variety of machines, such as the KX-FP80, KX-FP81, KX-FP85, KX-FP91 and KX-FP95, changing the ring is fairly simple.
Instructions
1. Look at your fax machine to locate the "Menu" button. Once you have found it, press it down.
2. Press "31" on the keypad. Once the fax machine has identified you have pressed this---which will be evident by the next prompt---press the "Start" button.
3. Locate the jog dial on the machine. Turn it to highlight and listen to the different rings that are featured on the screen. Once you have found a ring your like, press the "Start" button to select it.
